Canadian Grand Prix™

A much-loved circuit that always delivers with the race action

The Canadian Grand Prix has been on the Formula 1™ calendar since 1967 and is a firm fan favourite.

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montréal has a habit of being everyone’s favourite grand prix. The circuit on the man-made Ile Notre Dame provides the thrills for a huge crowd that take the metro out into the middle of the St Lawrence River. In the evenings, that same crowd returns to the west bank and the city comes alive.

Montréal welcomes its grand prix better than anywhere; turning the centre of the downtown grid into a pedestrianised party zone with music past midnight, indulging the cafes and bars of Crescent Street to spill out into the road. For those after something a little (but only a little) quieter, the old town provides a warren of bistros, bars and fine dining. The time the evening finishes depends very much on what time you wish to be at the circuit in the morning.

The Canadian Grand Prix isn’t only a favourite from the fans point of view. The Red Bull Racing Team also love the circuit and enjoyed success there in 2013 and 2014.
